I hate to be the one to spoil the fun, but you really should open that
box. The IIgs has a battery on the motherboard that will start to leak
eventually...

(I wouldn't have thought that opening the box would negatively affect
the value. The IIgs will be sought after because it is new and unused
and, ideally, with nice clean packaging. I would be much more impressed
if I knew that the 'puter was in working order than completely
unknown.)
