Right. The IIgs output at the Sound jack is mono-- everything mixed
together. The jack requires a stereo mini-plug; but, the two lines are
connected inside at the jack.
The signals needed for getting separate channels are at the J-25 connector
located near the memory expansion slot. Using a multiplexer IC you can
de-multiplex the signals and get two channels of sound. (There is a raw diagram
for doing this in the Apple IIgs Hardware Reference.)
