My point exactly. That's what I do as well.

For me, the usage of my GS is not really comparable with how people who 
have old timer cars for their hobby handle their goods. I don't polish 
it every day and brag about how I still own a working computer from the 
days when computers were computers.
I think if you want to compare it to something, use a DC-3 aeroplane as 
your example. (For Americans, that's an "airplane".) Those machines, 
which aren't being built anymore, still keep on doing their jobs as good 
as ever, because they are sturdy machines that were not designed to be 
thrown away when the next generation of planes were produced. And maybe 
they don't have the same speed as today's machines, but we're not 
bothered with that; they're still useful.
 
However, I think the original intent of this thread was to find out the 
reason why people swear by their hardware - complaining that you can't 
beat the real thing and an emulator doesn't have the right FEEL.
