Actually the program you want is QFIX. It was written by the QWK
authors and will modify Prodos, Basic.system and if you have a IIgs
it will patch the P8 files in the system folder. It also has patches for

several hard coded programs and the ability to undo the changes.

As for the GEOS problem. Prodos looks for the first system file
ending with .system. Thus, you could rename geos.system as
geos.
