Sorry to break in, but you say you selected Apple IIc as the interface type?
The Apple IIc has an internal 6551 wired as the serial interface in slot 2 (and
one for slot 1 -- the printer port) . The Apple //gs has a Z8530 wired as the
internal serial port in slot 2 (and of course slot 1 -- the printer port). IF
you have selected the IIc port driver you need a 6551 addressed correctly for
the "Wait for a Call" code to function. Also of course the SERIAL Driver never
initializes, since you do not have a 6551 in the //gs.
Let me pull up my manuals... I dont know if I can get to the gs.
