GBBS Question

Well I am on my way to making my modem emulator. The only problem that I
have is with GBBS. I have my IIgs hooked up to my PC with a null modem
cable. I know it works as I have transferred many a disk over to the IIgs.
My question is the configuration of GBBS.

I see in the configuration screens that first you select your interface type
(internal/external). I select external. Then the interface type (Super
Serial, etc...). I select IIc and that is the closest one that makes sense
to me. Then I have to select the modem type. I see in the list there is a
IIgs modem port 2400bps. I select that.

Now on the PC side I am using a terminal program to see when GBBS sends the
initialization strings to the "modem". I am expecting to see some AT
commands come across. At that point I would respond to them with my modem
emulator software that I am writing. But GBBS just sits there locked up. I
do not get the changing character status in the upper right hand of the
screen. Of course it does work when I run GBBS is local mode :-).

So, the Question:

What modem configuration selections would you make? Are the ones that I am
using wrong? What would you guys suggest?

I have try a few different selections with no succuess. I could step
through them all one at a time but there are a lot of combinations there!

Thanks for all your time!
