Careful about the "sloppy handwriting" bit. Mine has never been good,
and is now all but illegible - even to me - unless I'm being /really/
careful. The reason is simple: 99% of my written communication is
performed with the aid of a keyboard, and has been for many years.
And come to think of it, my SO has most of your other faults in her
writing, but somehow she seems to have made it as a lawyer, and is
held in very high regard by both colleagues and clients.
I can see what you're getting at, but as always, it's dangerous to
generalise :-)
