sz stands for send zmodem, so it should work.

This is to send a file FROM the IIGS to the shell account.
This command is not needed since zmodem is automatic.
Unless the shell account has been configured with this
feature [automatic zmodem] off, that is.

It should be noted that some shell accounts have a
version of sz that works with some terminal programs
but not others.  For example, some work with Spectrum
for uploads but works with ProTERM only for downloads.

Strange, I know, but true!

I think more likely the problem is that telnet is 7 bits.
I do not see how you are going to be able to zmodem
through a telnet connection.

A better method would be to uuencode the file through
telnet on the freenet side and zap it over to your local
account, then zmodem from your local account.  I'm
not familiar with Spectrum scripting, but I think it ought
to be possible to automate the process.
