The Epson Stylus 740 is backward compatible with the Epson LQ
series of 360 dpi printers. Therefore, you need to use a driver designed
for the Epson LQ. For AppleWorks, the newer versions I'm pretty
sure have built in Epson LQ support (just select that as your printer).
For GS/OS software, you need the Epson LQ drivers in the Harmonie
package of drivers from http://www.crl.com/~joko Shareware Solutions
II.

You can also print to the Stylus' serial port using the IIGS printer port
and the Mac's printer cable. You'll need a port driver capable of 56k
speeds, I think. One is included with Harmonie for GS/OS programs.
For AppleWorks, you need a CDA 56k port speed selector to do it.
