It's configured as a module.  It *is* being loaded:

Mumble.  I hate to say it, but so far WinNT gets the nod on this count.  I
did a test run on an NT machine at work, and I was serving files immediately
(of course, you *have* to use an NTFS partition, so they're not exactly
perfect either).
