Some info about your setup might help. Like ...

what model IIgs
what version of System are you booting from the Focus
what SCSI card are you using
how is your Zip disk partitioned and how does it show up on the Finder
what RAM expansion card and how much RAM
is there an accelerator-- if so, what kind
have you eliminated all AppleTalk inits, drivers, ...
have you eliminated all screen savers

The 800k limit on copying has shown up for Siruis 8MB RAM cards who
followed 'manual' directions and pulled a SIMM-- you should leave all 8MB
installed.

If you are using ProTERM 3.1 or Spectrum or Modem MGR or some other telecom
program which does not require Slot 2 firmware, a good slot for the SCSI card is
Slot 2 (set to "Your Card").
