If Dave is correct then that would mean the Canadian dollar was worth
about $0.76 US in 1989 or thereabouts.  This sounds perfectly
reasonable to me.

However, it still doesn't explain why the company that bought out that
stores stock didn't at least keep the price the same instead of
lowering it to a mere $85 CDN when I bought mine in May of 1993.  :)
