TEXAS II has published the following resources for DeskJet users:

- The DeskJet Disk, a compendium of articles, Q&A, neat lined forms and
appointment calendars, AppleWorks macros, patches (such as "CG Times Font"
instead of "Proportional-1"), and much more.

- AppleWorks 3.0 DeskJet drivers which are identical to the AppleWorks 5.1
DeskJet drivers (not just somebody's custom printer, this is the real
AppleWorks 5.1 driver).

- Numerous printable-by-you or already-printed-out charts of all the built-in
DeskJet character sets, including high ascii, plus how to print transparent
characters (Rtn,Tab,arrow keys, Esc), and how to print control characters $00
to $31. 

- AppleWorks data bases of DeskJet PCL printer codes (suitable for use in
regular and special codes). Our DeskJet installer automatically sets them up
for you (your choice) so you don't have to know how to do this yourself .

- Ultimate DeskJet, a program which converts AppleWorks text such as a', and n~
to high ascii  DeskJet characters for language, legal, and math symbols.

- An entire issue of the TEXAS II newsletter  recently covered step-by-step set
up and problem-solving of the DeskJet 400, 500, and 600 series printers with
AppleWorks.

All of this is spread out over numerous back issues of TEXAS II and on the
DeskJet disk. The DeskJet disk is not listed on our web site, but you can ask
about it. I have been considering doing an update, now might be a good time for
that if I can ever get off of Ebay.

For AppleWorks, you do not need Harmonie or any other external driver, even if
your machine is an Apple IIGS. We know very little and do nothing about any
IIGS-specific issues. For that, you need Shareware Solutions II.
