Mainly so I can but a hard drive out of a catalog without worrying whether
or not it will work with the Apple HS card.

I know that. What I meant to say is to patch (read: rewrite) QuickDraw II
to support either the Second Sight or some hypothetical new video board.
Making existing programs work at the higher resolutions would add a
great deal of capability to the machine, IMO. I like big spreadsheets,
and with The Manager and a bunch of internet apps all running at the same
time, the 640 x 200 desktop gets awfully crowoed.
