need help with apple2 FAQ

I bought an old apple 2e to teach my 12 year old girl how to program.
It seems like a good place to start and it worked good for me.  I need
some software, editor, utilities etc..

I would like to learn how to download files from web pages FOR apple2
on my PC then from my PC to an apple2.  I have wandered around and
found a web page that is suppose to be the definitive FAQ page but I
can't seem to download any of the text files.  I get some message
about the server.  Anyone know what going on?   The FAQ page is:

I have forgotten almost everything about an apple 2 so this FAQ page
would be a nice place help me recall.
