There's a pretty fundamental difference between "does not matter" and
"noticeable" ya know. Single speed is good enough for use on a IIgs. And
if you're talking an Apple drive, having total plug 'n play is an added
benefit.
My Quadra 700 can run Quicktimes off CDs in my CD150 just fine. I think it's
plenty good for a IIgs as well.
