There are those who say that speed does not matter on a IIGS.
I beg to disagree.
The difference between a 1x and a 2x CD-ROM is VERY
noticeable on the IIGS. Sure, the main use would be reading
in shk files or perhaps DiskQuest or DiskQuest Encyclopedia,
but can you imagine trying to navigate your hard drive at
the speed of a UniDisk 3.5? That's how 1x feels. I would
recommend 2x over 1x.
