What revision RAMFast is this? If it is revision C, you must
turn the RAMFast DMA off. If it is revision D, you can leave
it on. This is to work with 8MB.
Another possibility is the power supply. You may need a
more powerful one.
Before putting in a new power supply, you might try to add
a fan instead.

My IIGS is usually more stable than my Windows PC unit,
but both are pretty stable.

Is the "B" partition formatted HFS? If so, it will be invisible
to all ProDOS 8 programs, which includes ProTERM 3.1.
If all your other software is 16-bit GS/OS based software,
all other programs will see HFS partitions fine.
