I agree with what you say, however Mitch does not. I don't
disagree with the fact that the IIGS is an orphaned computer
whose value is not what it used to be.

The only thing I responded to was Mitch's assertion that he
could think of no IIGS SETUP that was worth $300 or more.
I gave him an example (I can picture it because I happen to
have an SVGA card and a gigabyte hard drive and lots of
other peripherals on my IIGS).

His MO is to try to challenge a definition, such as the definition
of the word "setup." This time, he's trying to say that a
setup is just the computer and not the computer+peripherals.
That in itself is ludicrous.

After he redefines a key word, he goes around and tries
to speak as if I agree with his new definition such as
"anyone in their right mind would not say a IIGS is worth
$300+." At this point, he is saying nothing that I have
actually said. I never said bare bones IIGS is worth
$300+. I ONLY gave him an example of a IIGS SETUP
(that's IIGS+peripherals) where it was clearly worth $300.

Mitch, after plugging words in my mouth, ends the typical
attack with some disparaging remark about me being
deluded about the worth of my IIGS and all that.

ALL I said was that there are IIGS SETUPS that are
worth $300+. It was Mitch that started arguing about the
definition of the word setup, whether the peripherals
follow the computers or vice versa, and all that other
nonsense. Finally, just because I say a IIGS SETUP
can be worth $300+ DOES NOT, I REPEAT DOES
NOT MEAN THAT I THINK A BARE BONES IIGS
IS WORTH THAT MUCH.
