Re: Is it me, or is CSA2 more civil without Nathan?

Simply because I don't want to throw more dirt at you than your own
deeds, words and actions do...

Please allow me to clarify a few things.

First, I have to say that I recognize a skilled programmer whenever I
see one. You are a good coder, a very good one indeed. Also big thanks
for releasing TCP/IP as freeware.

But when I tested Marinetti, I laughed heartily when I read the docs.
On one paragraph you say "some idiots can't figure out how to register"
and then you are surprised because only 100 "idiots" have registered so
far. Programming is one thing, your unique style of human interaction
is another.

I have decided not to keep Marinetti. But you may e-mail me your
adress, I may change my mind in the future and perhaps if you are
able to bite your tongue, I may even send in some shareware fees.

: Nathan was the only person to actual put his words into actions. A lot of

: something about it.

Please let me give you a lesson of group psychology from a guy who has
learned in the college not only computer stuff, but also much more about
the human nature.

Groups tend to form four role models. The "Alpha" role are the chiefs
or leaders, the "Beta" role are the sages, the "Gamma" role are the
workers and finally there are the "Omegas": the outsiders, the culprits,
the victims.

Nathan has managed with his control freak behavior and his insults to
move himself perfectly from his Alpha position to the Omega position
and there he was pummeled with flames until he finally left.

What Nathan has become, he has made of himself. Now he has left and the
"Omega" slot is currently empty. Do you want to be the next who fills it?
You will only destroy yourself.

I like your programming skills, Richard Bennett. For this reason, I have
given you a few words of advice, it's your decision if you want to hear
them. The Apple II community has changed in the last years, they have
become much more self-confident. They are no scum, they are the next
generation of Apple II programmers, proud and powerful. And they
appreciate good programming skills, but if you act like a jerk they may
drop you, even if you port Netscape itself to the IIgs.

The freedom to choose his own destiny is the greatest treasure of man.
Now choose your own, Richard.

                                          Best wishes!
