I assume you mean a 20MB Vulcan, not a 2MB one.  ;-)

You can probably do this safely, but make sure you have a set
of System 6.0.1 disks to reinstall the OS and make sure you
copy the Vulcan driver from the drivers folder of your system
disk.

If I remember correctly, you have to put the Vulcan driver
on one of the System 6.0.1 disks so that it gets installed.
