how so? are you referring to the APPEARANCE of no interest in selling
the product by Quality? i think that the fact that they have the
rights to sell Appleworks should be enough. enough people seem to
know about this fact that there should be a need forTHEM to say
anything to get AW5 removed from FTP sites. i'm just speculating
here, but wouldn't it seem that they chose to take the "easy way out"
of the whole mess and just give up, instead of trying to market the
program when (they seem to think) it'll just be given away
somewhere...

hehe... i think the biggest PROBLEM with our "copyright laws" is that
the terms are phrased such that some people can take advantage of the
semantics. that's one thing that i've always hated about law.
