I would say there's no point in putting a ROM 3 board in a //e upgrade. Since
IIgs power supplies have screw holes that match those in a //e power supply,
you can put one in an upgrade. And you can always use ADB devices with a //e
upgrade too. So if you put a ROM 3 in an upgraded box, you essentially have
an oversized and less attractive version of a ROM 3 in a normal IIgs box.
