"A lot depends upon who eventually gets behind the idea. For example,
should
Woz come across Mike's posting and decide to promote the project,
participation
might easily approach many thousand users. If 'contributions' were
framed as
shares in a new II Computing Company--
say $25/per share and a max $250 contribution by any
individual--participation
could be even larger."

It has to be pretty boring just sitting and doing zilch. Woz would
be a great help in a new II Revolution. Maybe he'll change his mind.

"Buy
Apple II" page and accepts pledges for $25 shares with a limit of ten

per user? We would have a guage of user interest in the idea and no
money would
be involved until there was a deal with Apple."

No problem. $250 to free up the II series for a 2000 A.D. upgrade
would be a bargain.
