If you look at a reply that I made, I stated the same as you did about
other segments not including code from the source segments. But I also
stated that those segments should only be used by GBBS SysOps, since it
was agreed when they purchased the program not to allow code, even code
that they may have written to full to none SysOps.

It seems that over they past few years someone has been giving the code
away stating he was told it was in the Public Domain. I contacted him by
voice after logging on to his BBS and cleared the matter up. I have no
idea how many systems are still online other then the ones that contacted
me after I first posted. I kmow there are much more then people believe
since a lot of Apple User Groups are still using them, and that fact
really surprised me. Also a couple of school districts including one in
this area still use one to pass information to teachers and students, I
found out abut that one when one of my Non-Apple users to my BBS asked me
if I knew where they could get help with it, it seems that the source code
became corruped; I know about that, that why I keep 3 copies of each
segment on 3 different types of disks, plus one set packed up on another.
