But the thing is that the Infocom games use a virtual machine bytecode
which is independant of the computer used. Therefore the current selling
PC version, Mac version, etc. is bytewise identical to an Apple // version.
Thus the game is "current"... you can buy one of the Activision
compilation CD's, transfer the z-code gamefiles onto your Apple, and run
them with an Apple //e Infocom interpreter.

So most of the Infocom games are current, and as for HHG and Shogun,
HHG can still be obtained from Lost Treasures of Infocom 1, and with
DA's next released game, so it's current (or will be). The only one I'm
not sure about is Shogun, since I don't know if the original author has
any future plans for it.
