Printing in 2 columns, Sideways on an 8.5X11 paper

Is there some type of program/wordprocessor/printer driver that will allow 
me to print on a piece of paper Sideways, in two columns?

| so I can      pages, and make|
| show you two  "books" out of |

I would then cut each piece of paper in Half, and have (two) 5.5" X 8" 
pages.
