My Tulin Floptical disk drive went bad

If I insert a Floptical disk into the disk drive in either Finder or
a text based application, the disk does not show up in the device
list. However, if a insert a normal high density diskette into the
same drive, there is no problems with reading the files on the disk.
This disk drive is connected to a RamFAST controller card and used
to recognize the floptical diskette but no more.

Has anyone experience the same problem or know how to correct the
problem since the company has gone out of business?
