I forgot about the ColorSwitch card being in the way. I haven't had any
problems so I haven't looked under the hood since installing the
SuperDriv's card (yea!). I had been considering your subjestion about
using slot 6 for the PC Transporter before posting. I use the 5.25"
drives for Apple II family games only now. A few years ago I would have
been using Apple IIes at school, and needing the drives. The only reason
I posted is because I like the RAM disk being available. AppleTalk is
slower than my hard drive connected to a slow speed SCSI card (ROM
version C).
Do I interpret your response correctly:
Yes, IF I can fit the card in slot one and still connect the ribbon
cable to the opening, and use slot 1? I know this would cost me the
capability to print in MS-DOS mode, but I'd still get my "RAMAEPC" RAM
disk, and the ability to run my MS-DOS programs that ClarisWorks can
import & print.
Off the topic, what exact card do I need for my ImageWriter II to share
it between my new Mac and my IIGS using AppleTalk/LocalTalk? The manual
isn't very specific, and the printer is so old I don't think I'll even
try my local computer stores.
