   Which gets back to my original point. If it wasn't done right due
to reasons XYZ possibly including lack of time and/or manpower (second
one could be helped by caring about the Apple II and spending $ on
it), it *is* a bad design currently. With proper documentation, it
could be fixed in the absence of real help from Apple, but it looks
like we're stuck without anything helpful.

   And those who blindly worship Apple will argue until they're blue
in the face that it's not a bug, it's a feature, or somesuch crap.  I
can accept that Apple didn't do a perfect job far better than the
worshippers here, which is why the flames are necessary to try and
jackhammer off the rose colored glasses that are welded to their face.
