even if you DO end up on a different hardware platform, there's always
a different OS... i can't STAND Windoze (in ANY of its
incarnations)... i use it at work 'cause i'm forced to. given a
preference, i'll put Linux on it simply because i want something that
WORKS.

any distaste i have for the Mac doesn't stem from its abilities; from
a functional POV, the Mac is cool. it's been capable of things for
years before the PC users' dreams were realized. i decided the Mac
was evil the day that Apple decided to stop supporting the Apple ][
series. <sigh>

i still have my ][gs. i'm glad there are places like this newsgroup
where i can get information on what's available.... (didn't even KNOW
that there was a such thing as Marinetti until recently!) looks like
i'll be looking into adding my ][gs to my network at home.... ;)
