that's certainly the LONG way 'round....

well, the easiest way to do it would assume that you have some sort of
communications program for your Apple ][e: connect the PC and the ][e
with a serial connection (and a Null modem, unless you really WANT to
use the phone....) and just transfer the files that way.  ASCII is
ASCII, so that part is a good thing.  :)
