Well I consider Convert 3200 just a tool, and like most tools,
no one will fit all jobs. I personally use an ensemble of Convert
3200, SuperConvert and Prism.
Admittely I use these programs much less than I did originally
(since I have a PC) but Convert 3200 and SuperConvert do make good
"bridge" graphic programs. If I want to export large APF images I
scan on the IIgs, Convert 3200 is the _only_ program that is able
to suit this need. Back when I wanted to convert graphics to view
on the IIgs, in some cases Convert 3200 was better, in other cases
Prism was better. Another plus about Prism is its TrueColor view;
although you can only see a small piece of the entire image at a
time, it is pretty much how it would look on a PC or Mac (that is
if you cut a small square in a black sheet of paper and placed it
over a PC/Mac screen :). SuperConvert is the only decent program
for converting images into the 640 mode, and pretty much the only
one for exporting to GIF. There are dozens of examples of strength
and weakens between each program, but together they're really all
you'll ever need.
