Thanks for the information.  I'm planning on trying to get my //e going
with AppleTalk.  A few places, I've seen adapters for connecting a localtalk
based AppleTalk network to ethernet.  Often these are sold as printer
adapters.  Would they allow an Apple //e to see the AppleTalk servers on my
ethernet network?  I have a feeling that the localtalk<->ethernet adapters are
out of my price range, but maybe I could uncover a bargain.

If the ethernet bit is possible, is there hope of booting the //e of a
non-Mac?  I have a Linux computer, and I've fooled with netatalk a bit.
It works well for AppleTalk print and file sharing.  It would be great to
boot my first computer off my latest.  Is any documentation available about
what the remote end needs to do?  Maybe the netatalk package could be
augmented to do the job.  Am I dreaming in the real of what's possible?
