Visicalc, Appleworks, and the IIe Card...

If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know, and I will
do all in my power to make you a saint, because this would definetly be
termed as a miracle...

I have a Macintosh Performa 550 with a IIe card inside of it. My Dad has
used a IIe since roughly 1979, and has LOTS of files that he needs still.
Many of these files are on Visicalc. (Yes, the ORIGINAL visicalc,
copyrighted 1979.)

I can convert appleworks files to Macintosh real easy, but I can't for the
life of me figure out how to get VisiCalc files to AppleWorks. There is a
way, because in AppleWorks' Manual, it says that you have to use the
ProDOS User's Disk to copy your VisiCalc Files to a ProDOS disk, and open
them in AppleWorks.

There is the problem.

The ProDOS User's Disk will not read the VisiCalc Save Disks because this
version is too old or something. After all, it is still using the 13
SECTOR format!

Is there any way to do this? I would like to use my expansion slot for a
accelerator, rather than the clunky IIe card. PLEASE HELP!!

Either respond here, or mail at flanagan@cyberis.net

Thx,
