If that were true, I wouldn't have "wasted" my money on four of them.

Neither is Apple. They have over a billion in cash on hand and they're
higher on the Fortune 500 list than Microsoft, and many other companies.
Companies like this are not "about to go into the tank". Don't believe
all the rabid melodramatic press you read.

Was that a joke (I hope)? Since when does anyone need Microsoft's
permission to put an OS on an Intel box? Tell that to the makers of
OS/2, Linux, OpenStep, etc.
