"Work" is a relative term here. CGA/EGA monitors will operate as
a display with the IIgs, but being digital RGB means you will not be
able to display the thousands of colors the GS offers. Worse yet, the
colors it will display will be totally wrong or repeating. You would
need to build a digital to analog converter.

I would rate it more like fair or mediocre emulation.

The Second Sight sells for US$150 and up, at that price you could
buy a complete Apple IIgs system with monitor. Better yet, that would
be enough to purchase an old 386/486 or color Mac, if your intent is
to display images with greater resolution and color depth than a IIgs
is capable of. If/when FaceLift is completed, I'll change my opinion
on the usefulness of the Second Sight, but until then...
