I'm not sure I see the connection. Certainly becoming a new Apple II user
requires willingness to take on intellectual challenges, since often one must
find their own solution to problems that crop up, rather than rely on an army
of highly paid consultants. Also, the new user must be patient and persistent,
since many of the solutions require diligent detective work. However, I don't
agree that selecting for thick skinned people who don't get upset at insults is
going to also select for the highly intelligent, highly inquisitive, creative
folks we need to keep our Apple II's fresh and alive.
