Re: Apple II and God
Rubywand outgassed these fumes:
R<| It is inaccurate to equate Christianity with religion.
| Christianity is a way of life based upon the word of the one true
| God. A religion is a man-made system.
And since there are so many different ideologies all falling under the
general header of Christianity, it can be said Christianity is by your
definition a religion. The core of the religion is the Word, right?
R<| It is inaccurate to assume that acceptance of the word of God
| is incompatible with a desire for factual computer information.
Some say that the word of Nathan *is* the word of God when it comes to
factual computer information, but that's a flamewar I'm not playing in.
Trying to get somewhat on topic: People turn to spiritual leaders for
info on matters of faith, people turn to computer gurus as found in csa2
for matters of computing; in both cases, sometimes the information given
by the esteemed parties is accurate and sometimes it leads one astray.
There are fewer "right" answers in faith than there are in computers,
but it can be said that what works well for one may corrupt another.
