ShrinkIt files: from Mac to IIgs

I have a friend with a IIgs.  I am trying to get a ShrinkIt file (.shk) to go to
that system.  I went to Apple's site and got ShrinkIt1.1.SEA.  I place
ShrinkIt1.1.SEA and the .shk file on a prodos formated disk (from my
Mac).  The GS
can read the information but it will not extract ShrinkIt1.1.SEA .  It
gives me an
error saying it could not find an application to open it with.  Is their
something else
I need to do to this .SEA file for it to work.  Is it possible that the
Mac is screwing
the file up.  Also the GS in question does not have System 6.0.1 (some
older version).
I will be installing the newer version this weekend.
