Fine; except that Mark was the guy upon whose word the Treasure Chest's
original reclassification is based. But, then, how do we _know_ that the
Simonsons still own the copyrights to the Beagle wares in question?

How about this New, Improved validation method ...

The prospective Validated Copyright Holder sends Treasure Chest (i.e.
Willie) the following via certified mail:

     1. original diskettes and manuals for the wares
     2. notarized copy of purchase contract (if applicant is not shown as
author of the wares in the manuals)
     3. a sworn notarized statement of copyright ownership
     4. a certified DNA sample or part of finger with fingerprint

Once Willie checks out the submitted materials, he would fax the newly
Validated Copyright Holder the standard Form for Agreement to
Reclassification Trial. The returned form would be posted, along with a
Notice of Imminent Reclassification on comp.sys.apple2.reclassification. If,
after six months, no one objects to the reclassification, we would begin a
five year Reclassification Opportunity Trial.

During the ROT, the wares would be made available (along with proper
ROT notifications) on Certified ROT ftp Sites. Assuming that, during the
ROT, no challenge to the reclassification is received by TC project persons
or ROT ftp Site managers, and no complaint is posted to csa2 ... Viola! the
wares in question are Reclassified.
