The whole reason for .SEA or .EXE compressed files is so that persons
can unpack them without having the packing product. In some of these,
it is also possible to set up the extraction so that it displays a
message to the user, asking for permission to continue, then extracts
all the files into pre-arranged directories.
I almost always open these files with the designated unpacker, instead
of executing them. But, I can certainly see the usefulness of them.
I also agree that it would be nice to have a Mac .SEA unpacker for the
GS.
