SIS Question

Here on the Vancouver CommunityNet, I dial up and am launched into Lynx.
Everything gets done from there, including launching other programs (e.g.
Tin). The few details currently up on the Spectrum Internet Suite state
that it requires a UNIX shell account to work. I wonder if this account
would be suitable. Can anyone drop some hints?

How does it work, anyway? Does it interpret the HTML tags that it gets
through a program like Lynx into pretty text on a GS?
