Nathan Mates, I resent this insinuation.  You may have reason to
accuse Charles Turley of deeds based on what you may or may not know
of his past actions, but you do not know me.  Everything I have
posted to this newsgroup has always been to the best of my knowledge.
Yet based on nothing more than your hatred for Dr. Tom, you slander
me with no basis.

I did indicate to Mr. Turley that I did not want my address posted.
He had the courtesy to respect this.  If you were a reader of
comp.sys.apple2 and saw the supposed phone calls, letters, and
general harrassment that Joe Kohn and Brutal Deluxe, and others
suffered at the hands of Charles Turley OR the supposed hacking of
Mr. Turley's account and/or invasion of his property by others,
you would not want your address plastered for these elements to
see.  I am not saying I believe either side.  In fact, I find it
all silly.  I am not taking any chances, however.

To me, your allegations are not logical.  My God, man, that company
that I supposedly fabricated is the one releasing this software as
a SHAREWARE product.  Not freeware, Nate, shareware - which means
shareware payments.  How the hell is a fabricated company supposed
to receive a check in the mail and cash it?

You say that you pride yourself on facts, but here you are making
accusations with no facts at all.  If this is the way you treat
people that do not automatically follow "your side," it is no
wonder that you start so many flame wars.

I reiterate: the only way we are going to get software released
as freeware or shareware is persistance.  You see the wave of
inquiries to Corel as an effort to "debunk Charles Turley."  I
see it as an effort to bring out software to help users.  Because
of the efforts of good people like Bruce Maples, representatives
of the Washington Apple Pi, and Gareth Jones, Corel discovered
that while they wanted to release WPGS and WP II as freeware,
the rights belong to Quality Software.  Now Quality Software
has released them as shareware.

You have no facts, but you make accusations.  You attack me because
of an opinion based on what you think of another (Charles Turley).
If this is not hypocritical, I don't know what is.
