No....I did not say we have exclusive distribution, I did say we have
been given permission to distribute it by Apple. This permission goes
back almost ten years now and until they say otherwise, continues to
be valid. Nothing more and nothing less.
I am merely saying that every time someone posts something, some in
this group lambastes it, others then tear out any copyrights that are
required and then they post it as if they put the efforts into it.
For the Blue Book, Doc Wehyrich put in a hell of an effort, Brian
Wiser then put it together and OCR'ed it so it would be truely useful
and then I do the web work and final checks and then release it on the
web since we have permission to provide it.
I say it is high time to give credit where credit is due. Brian has
helped many of us provide even better documentation and he is the main
reason all of our new materials on DVD are OCR'ed and image
corrected. By disrespecting that work, it is sadly wearing on those
of us who have worked to garner permissions, scan the documents and
put them out. Most of these projects take up to two years time to
complete. While that might not seem like much time, in the realm of
doing the job, it is an eternity and the price that we must pay to
cover all the bases before we put out a product.
So, while the items may be freeware, meaning free to download, they
are still copyrighted and free ware does not mean public domain.
Please respect the work, toss some Kudo's towards Doc and Brian and
support those of us who bring these works to the community.
