Well, the problem definitely seems to be with Express.

Another few more things you can check. Open the Express CDEV from the
Control Panel NDA and click the "Options" button. Make sure that the
"Initial spool status" is set to something other than "don't print"
and that the "ImageWriter I" checkbox does not have a X in it and
click "OK". The ImageWriter I checkbox should only be checked if you
have an ImageWriter I connected but not when you have an ImageWriter
II connected.

Now look at the "Print mode" setting in the Express window and make
sure that it is set to something other than "Off".

Also in the Express window, check under the "Spooling" heading and see
how much free disk space it lists. A single page can use around 100K
and I'm not sure how Express reacts when you run out of disk space.
If you are very low on disk space you may want to free up some space
by removing some files you no longer need from your boot drive.

If you changed one of these settings, try printing something else with
Express activated again. If it still doesn't work, open the Express
CDEV again and look in the "Print queue" area to see if the document
printed is listed there. If it isn't then something is very wrong
somewhere. It could be a conflict with other CDEVs, inits, DAs, etc.
or simply that Express has become corrupted.

If you still need more help, let me know.

On the other hand, if you really don't need the print spooling
capability that Express gives, you could always deactivate it or
remove it from your system entirely.
