You do not need the -C VGC to get 6.0.1 to run on your IIgs. You have a ROM 01
as long as you have the ROM 01 chip installed. The -C part is the one supplied
as an upgrade, but there are other parts. Both of my ROM 3s have part number
344S0046-4.
