Q: IIgs looses characters on modem... ?

ANOTHER dumb question- I was using ProTerm 3 with my modem on
 my IIe- I moved the modem to my IIgs using a Super Serial Card
in Slot 2- it looses characters now- it was working fine onmy
IIe. Is this because I need to use the GS modem posrt? or are
the SSC pin settings different for a GS? Thanks,
