GEOS was done by Berkeley Systems, that's right... the same AfterDark
folks. GEOS got rave reviews (I think it was on c64, Apple II's, and
as recent as 2 or 3 years ago on PC's) in all platforms it was written
for, but somehow it never went main stream. It's really too bad. The
Apple II version was pretty darn cool, I ran it on my IIgs before. For
the PC, it was one of the first graphical OS that offered pre-emptive
multitasking... Anyways, somebody might want to see if Berkeley Systems
still have the rights. maybe they'll release Apple II GEOS as freeware.
