It would depend upon what you meant by "programs that use
routines". A small part (ie: around 25% of a given
program), some (around 50%), a lot (75%), or all (100%).
Copyright violations used to mean if you used 25% or more.
Unknown what the limitations are now.
Even though the magazines (such as A+ and Nibble) are no
longer in print - the copyrights are still in place and
owned by someone. So it would be a good idea to at least
ask the authors (if possible) about their routines. It
also depends upon whether or not you are planning on asking
for money for your work (ie: Shareware). If you are doing
this for free - I <personally> would not think the authors
would care since the programs are very old, have brought in
as much money as they probably are ever going to, and you
are simply doing this to help keep the Apple computers
alive. Now if you are doing it for money - that is a
different thing. Because then you are making money off of
someone else's work. But in either case, I would make a
stab at contacting the author(s) and asking them before
posting anything to a site.
